CINI UK regularly takes on volunteers. We are also currently keen to take on summer interns. Current vacancies are outlined below.
The Child In Need Institute (CINI) works to bring about sustainable improvements in the quality of life of poor women and children in India, and is looking for two fundraising volunteers to help raise funds for its current projects.
The work will cover the spectrum of fundraising opportunities, from fundraising from trusts and the corporate sector, to events fundraising and campaigning. The work will be an opportunity to learn key fundraising skills including researching potential funding prospects, tailoring letters and appeals, and identifying and exploring alternative sources of support. Both internal and some external training will be provided.
You must
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- have excellent research skills (both book and internet based)
- have excellent organisational skills
- be available for at least 2 days a week (Mon-Fri) for a minimum of 8 weeks
- be self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- be prepared to show initiative
- have a genuine interest in international development issues
The charity’s office is based in Vauxhall (10 minute walk from Vauxhall tube station and over land station, and a 5 minute walk from Oval tube station). However, some of this work will be done from home, so you will need access to a computer and the internet.
To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter explaining why you are suitable for this post to ciniuk.humanresources@googlemail.com Please note that unfortunately we will only be able to contact shortlisted candidates.
